ADVERB
A word or a group of words that limits, qualifies, modifies, or describes a verb, an adjective, or another adverb. It may also limit, qualify, modify, or describe a verbal, a phrase, or a clause. Adverbs are used to tell why, when, where, and under what conditions something happened, happens, or will happen. Adverbs are classified according to function as simple, relative, conjunctive, and interrogative; and according to meaning as time, place, degree, manner, purpose, frequency, negation, condition, affirmation, or cause and effect or result.
