CONJUNCTIVE ADVERB
An adverb, such as accordingly, afterward, also, as a result, as you can see, besides, by this means, consequently, conversely, earlier, even, even so, for example, for instance, for this reason, furthermore, hence, however, in addition, in contrast, indeed, in fact, in particular, in the same way, in this manner, instead, just, later, likewise, meanwhile, moreover, nevertheless, nonetheless, only, on the other hand, otherwise, similarly, so, still, subsequently, then, thereby, therefore, thus, yet, among others, that connects independent clauses and is preceded by a semicolon.
I ruined his brand new amplifier; yet he did not banish me away from home.
