SENTENCE

A word or a group of words that expresses a complete thought or meaning. It begins with a capital letter and ends with a period, a question mark, or an exclamation mark. Traditionally, sentences are classified according to function as declarative, interrogative, imperative, or exclamatory, and according to structure as simple, compound, complex, or compound complex.
